X4D Mobile Access
iOS Compatibility and Requirements
Device, network, security, and application requirements for accessing X4D on iOS.
1. Overview
This document defines iOS compatibility requirements for X4D Mobile Access. It covers tested Apple devices, connectivity expectations for site and field usage, security requirements, and required applications for viewing X4D exported content.
2. Supported Apple Devices
Tested iOS devices
•iPad 2 and newer models
•iPhone 5 and newer models
For best user experience, newer iPad and iPhone models are recommended, especially when working with large drawings, document sets, 3D PDFs, and AR models.
3. Network Requirements

Device must have WiFi connectivity to access the site office network

Device must have cellular network connectivity for remote access during field work

Devices should be able to switch between WiFi and cellular connectivity depending on operational requirements.
4. Security Requirements
Authentication
•Mobile Access Link, User Name and password Authentication is required for X4D Mobile Access
•Users must complete authentication before accessing project data

|
A PDF viewer application must be installed on the device to view documents linked to Tags, Work packages or Completion Systems.

AR model viewing
|
The application App Model Play must be installed for viewing AR models exported from X4D.
|
The installed viewer applications should support zoom, rotation, and reliable rendering to enable effective review of X4D exported 3D PDFs and AR models.
